BRISTOL ZOO

Zoo is one of those few places in a city, where you can feel closer to nature. As I tend towards nature and all natural forms and shapes, I always try to check out also  zoo, if I visit some place and there is one. Honestly, I need this oasis, where you can relax from civilization (more or less).

It is said that Bristol’s zoo is the oldest provincial zoo in Europe. It was opened in 1836 and continues to delight its visitors since then. The zoo also has breeding firsts, including the first black rhino born in Britain in 1958, the first squirrel monkey born in captivity in 1953 and the first chimpanzee born in Europe in 1934. When I visit a zoo, extraordinary calm comes over me. Why? The animals feel so content with themselves even in captivity, and it makes you feel better too.

My favorite birds, of course

This butterfly lives only 5-6 days. The Mother Nature has not given him a mouth to eat with.
